I am working with a parent/child 8.54 UCCE/IVR setup. Our customer sends us calls, but in the even they send to many, they simply drop and we have no idea that we are out of ports. Is there a way to tell when we are out of IVR ports? And perhaps even set up an email alert?

You can log into your VXML server and launch a batch file that will display real-time license port availability. C:\Cisco\CVP\VXMLServer\admin\status.bat
There are ways of knowing if you're out of ports or not, but kicking an alert/email from ICM/CVP to an SMTP server requires custom development.
The quick fix here is to purchase more licenses

I should have been more clear, this is for a Parent/Child setup using IPIVR.
