Monitoring tone too loud.

Hi

How can I lower the volume of the tone played to an agent that alert him that he is being monitored by a supervisor? The tone plays every few seconds and is too loud almost overcoming the conversation.

We are using Call Manager based silent monitoring and the agent and supervisor are using Finesse.

Hi Victor,

Seems like Monitoring notification tone is enabled on service paramaters as mentioned below,

Tone volume could not be reduced whereas you can disable the monitoring notification tone to be played out by setting the below mentioned options as false,

Play Monitoring Notification Tone to Observed Target- False

Play Monitoring Notification Tone to Observed Connected Parties- False

We want the Monitoring notification tone to alert the agents they are being monitored, we just don't want it to be so loud. Is there no way to do this?

Hi Victor,

If that is the case then you can disable the second option for connected parties and keep it enabled for observed target alone. By default there is no option to reduce the monitoring tone. As these tones are are inbuilt and will be under OS administration. Modifying something there is not recommended.

Hello Ganapathi,

As it is not possible to lower the tone, it is possible to increase the set time tone play which is 8 in 8 seconds to 30 in 30 seconds, for example?
