Normally if there are multiple DN's pointing to a single script such as different DDI coming from different countries or maybe different companies using the same script , I would create a dial-peer for each one in my gw and then assign each dn to the script in icm or if it was internal and for what ever reason we used CTI l RP then again I would assign different CTI RP for each dn?
The reason for me is so that report on each dial number which points to script and better control
My company is thinking of using translation patterns for each internal DN/DDI point them to a single CTI RP and then assign the single CTI RP DN on ICM the script, so many dn point to a single CTI RP which points to a single script
Is their thinking a good idea, how would we report on the original Dial number before it is translated to the CTI RP how would we pick up the original calling ID
Thanks

Having different DN along with corresponding call types in ICM helps you report much better. This I believe is the standard and recommended approach.
Using a single CTI route point means that you loose the ability to run reports based on the dialled number from ICM's perspective. Of course you can use CUCM CDRs but that depends on one if you are using this functionality. It is not as good as ICM's reporting
