Preserving all historical database records

Dear Pros,

What's the easiest way to save all historical reporting records (for years to come) in IPCC Express? Maximize the size of the SQL server database, delay the automatic purges, and perform a database backup just prior to the purge?

Secondly, how would I then create a long-term historical report with all of these backups?

Four years later. . .did you find a solution to this? Other's have input on strategy around historical data archiving? Have a client that wants to start to compare data month to month, year to year, etc.

Hi,

I do this in an UCCE environment, but it may be applicable too: use periodic bulk exports and imports, based on an unique identifier. For instance, DateTime, or DbDateTime.
