Hi
1. I was wondering if Social Miner was going to have the new Open Social 2.0 features (Mobile Client etc)...incorporated?
2. Does anyone have any bake-off data regarding Avaya's Social Media Manager - I hear its not much yet...perhaps not even comparable.
Thanks!!

1) We haven't implemented any OpenSocial 2.0 functionality yet but will certainly look to incorporate as appropriate. SocialMiner incorporates the Apache Shindig container so likely when this features appear in Shindig they will start to show up in a subsequent version of SocialMiner.
Also note: SocialMiner incorporates the container for out of the box convenience (to hold the SocialMiner gadgets when SocialMiner is deployed as a standalone application). SocialMiner does not aim to be a general purpose container. Cisco Quad or Cisco Finesse would be more likely to leverage advanced container capabilities and SocialMiner gadgets would be deployed inside one of those containers.
2) While we've seen positioning of the Avaya solution, we haven't seen any evidence of an actual product and we aren't aware of any deployments of Avaya's Social Media Manager.

Their demo looks very similar to SM, similar feeds, pop in their contact desktop however one thing that could be an issue is the price. As per the link(if it is correct) the price is quite high compared to Cisco SM that is 1K list for the base server software. Agent licensing is comparable at CCX premium

Software for the Social Media Manager solution starts at approximately $30,000 base price plus $1,500 per agent
Thanks
