Socialminer upgrade to version 11

Has anyone upgraded a Socialminer from 10.6 to 11.0

I am trying to upgrade a lab and failing

ESXi 5.5

2 vCPU template

Install 10.6.1.10000-102

Install ciscosm-refresh_upgrade-10.6.1.10000-102.cop.sgn

Edit ova

install 11.0.1.10000-36

It fails after it boots onto the new version

MD5 checksum is good on the 11.0.1

Are you exactly following the steps as mentioned in the below Upgrade guide:

Also, did you restart the SM server after applying the RU cop file. If not, then do that and try again

This was caused by uploading the iso to the datastore and upgrading from the DVD,

When the refresh upgrade reboots it finds the DVD still connected and tries to install the files from the DVD instead of from common.

The clue is it pops up the Disk Found message and asks if you want to run the media test.

 

When you see this force a power off, make sure the DVD is not connected and then power back up. It will then install from common and work.
