UCCE, AW: (-9986) Session to local database could not be opened.

Hi,

I have UCCE 10.0 and two AWDB machines in the system. They used to work fine for long time, but few days ago one of the machines started showing problems - I am no longer able to access Configuration Tool.

The error message that pops up is:

(-9986) Session to local database could not be opened.

I've noticed similar, but still different topic here in forum, because this problem was not there from the start and one of the servers doesn't have any issue (https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/10968186/aw-client-error-9986session-local-database-could-not-be-opened).

Thanks!

Regards, Dragan

what's the real time distributor process say? can you dump the rtdist log? This can sometimes be associated with SQL being misconfigured.

I recommend making sure to check the SQL configs by going through this staging guide (chapter 11)

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cust_contact/contact_center/icm_enterprise/icm_enterprise_10_0_1/Installation/Guide/UCCE_BK_SE65C903_00_staging-guide.pdf

Also, check to make sure that the accounts being used, including service accounts, are not under a password policy.

Hi Omar,

I've checked rtd log with trace level set to "3", but it stays empty...this could be some other issue though.

I also reviewed the settings using the document you sent and everything seems fine. It's interesting that everything stayed the same as before, when Configuration Manager was accessible. Additionally, other AWDB server works fine with the same settings applied.

Thanks anyway!

hey hi ,

Try changing the client configuration of the ODBC connection to named pipes. you may have set to TCP/P.
