A question about the installation of UCCE CAD 8.5. The Installation Guide seems unclear about one aspect
concerning the account used for installing CAD (+ SQL Server, for recording and statistics). Must it be
a) A domain account, with local admin priviledges, or
b) A local machine account, with local admin priviledges, or
c) Either is OK, as long as the same account is used while installing both CAD, and SQL
Any feedback on the question would be welcome.
Thanks.

Hi Anthony,
We improved our documentation on this subject in our most recent CAD for UCCE 9.0 Installation Guide. I suggest you take a look at that document and let us know if it addresses your questions.
regards,
Tom

Hi Tom,
The UCCE 9.0 documentation has improved and clarified some details of accounts and permissions,
but the changes don't cover the specific question I was asking above.
Thanks,
Anthony.

Sorry - I checked with DE and when we when do this internally we go with (b) -
A local machine account, with local admin privileges.
