Hi,
We have a standalone UCCX system currently and would like to use Cisco smart licensing. We have purchased v12 licensing for the transitional to smart licensing conversion. I have reviewed some documents but still is unclear the UCCX system will have to be upgraded to a higher version 12.0 or 12.5 for this to work? Or, can we still use the current version 11.6. Can someone confirm the conversion process and provide the steps needed for the transition. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Only UCCX versions >= 12.5 support smart licensing.
So, either you upgrade or keep using the existing licenses in your UCCX deployment.

If you want to use smart licensing you need to move from 11.6 and upgrade to 12.5.
staying at 11.x you cannot have smart licensing.
Refer below guide and read section smart licensing task flow.
Smart licenses which you orders will be available on your smart account. The account which you shared when you placed order with Cisco.
Open a licensing TAC ticket and check if they can convert the existing traditional to 12.x smart license.
