UCCX 8.0 and UCS C co-resident application

Does anyone know or have tried to run UCCX 8 as a co-resident application on the UCS-C series?  It stated in the virtualization guidelines that it is not supported as a co-resident application and must run stand-alone.

Had anyone tried this as co-resident and does anyone know if this will be supported in the near future?

Yes and it works. Most of the rules surrounding UC on UCS boil down to what Cisco has had time to explicitly test. If they haven't tested that specific scenario, it's not supported. To be fair, in some cases they have tested it and it doesn't work but they never publish the results for you to figure out which is the case.  If you want to stress test it on your own, feel comfortable with the results and are willing to give up your ability to call TAC, feel free to do whatever you want.  If you want Cisco to support it you'll have to follow the rules; as illogical as they seem at face value sometimes.

I'm restricted by NDA from answering the future-looking part. I suggest having a conversation on that front with your local Cisco SE.

I'm trying to find out how many vmware sessions can the UCS C series support for both CUCM & UCCX (300 agents).

Hi,

Co-residency of CUCM and UCCX is supported from V8.x onwards.

Use the below link to check how many vCPUs will be needed to run CUCM and UCCX on UCS C Series server.

For UCCX, you'll require 2 vCPUs and for per instance of CUCM 2vCPUs are needed.
