Hello,
Please, tell Me about UCSS contracts. I should buy them every year or only then, when I want upgrade my UCCX?

Hi
No, it's a subscription. You buy it, and it entitles you to upgrade for 'free' when you wish to. You have to repurchase it when it expires etc.
If you don't keep it up to date you need to pay for the upgrade when you want to do it.
Best to speak to your Cisco Partner sales droid about it, it can be messy to sort out and maintain.

Hi, Aaron.
Thanks for your answer.
My Cisco Partner tell me that i haven't a USCC in that year.
I am using a UCCX 8.5, in august 2017 will be end of technical support this version, so i want upgrade it in 2016.
Can i buy UCCX only in 2016? What do you think?
Regards,

Hi Sergei
You can't just buy UCCX; you would also need to upgrade CUCM as the versions are tightly linked, and possibly other products in the UC range that you use.
If you have been buying UCSS and have let it lapse it's probably time to start negotiating a deal, tell them you're going Avaya or something and see if you get a discount ;-)
If you've never bought UCSS or any support then you may end up just buying new licenses. It's best to keep UCSS up to date in future, as new versions are coming out all the time and the more you get left behind the more tricky it is to upgrade.
