Upgrade CRS 3.1 to 4.0 - JTAPI changes?

Hi,

I've read through the Upgrade PDF from upgrading CRS3.x to 4.0

I'm aware you need to add:

- add a new JTAPI user/password

- configure the new CTI Port Groups

- configure new CTI ports.

Can anyone explain WHY this needs to be done and why you can't just leave the current 3.x configuration.

Wrt to CTI PGs - do I require a separate port group for every JTAPI application or can I create one pool of CTI ports that all the JTAPI apps use.

With CRS 4.0 you now create triggers/ports from CRS adminpage as oppose to CCM, so that would probably be why.

You do not need seperate groups for each application, you can use the same one for all applications.

Chris, you're a star..... thank you. Do you happen to know if the triggers are copied across from the CRS3.5 solution or do these need to be recreated?
