upgrade java version in cvp 9

Hello Experts,

We have struck at when migrating java form 1.6 to 1.7 in cvp 9. We have one of the customer and they are still running on CVP 9 which has Java 1.6. But their backed system migrated to TLS 1.2 and they want to move this to production as early as possible. TLS 1.2 supports only java 1.7 and above.
Customer not willing to migrate their UCCE 9 version as of now and they will do it later. But they want to migrate their JRE to 1.7 to support their back end system which is in TLS 1.2.
Here are the methods we have followed but didn't work.
1. We have followed below mentioned Cisco process but it only supports the Minor upgrade not the Major upgrade.

2. We have manually installed jdk 1.7 and copied java 7 jre folder into  C:\Cisco\CVP\jre folder. But failed to start all cvp services.

3.  Installed the JDK 7 and changed the tomcat Catalina point to new jre as below (Please see attached image).
But it  changed the java version in Tomcat jre not in CVP jre. We haven't tested this process and not sure whether it should work or not.

kindly help me the process to migrate jre(1.7) in CVP 9 version. Is this possible ? if not is there any alternative solutions for this?

If it helps you, the UCCE compatibility matrix (now keep in mind, it may not have been updated for a while) for UCCE version 10 says that Java 7 is not supported, see below.

Java Requirements (top)

Unified CCE Release 10 installs with 32 bit Java 6 Update 30 and can be upgraded to the latest Java 6 Update. Java 7 is not supported.
