9372 PX-E not booting - Donner ASIC not detected - Sleeping 30 seconds

So I had a couple of 9372 "sitting on a shelve" for a while , and thought I might donate them to a local technical school or a local LAN party for backbone ..... or something ...

So I hooked them back up with power in order to remove all my old config from them.

One booted just fine, but the other one .... not so much.

This is the console output from boot.

Is this just dead, and should just go to the recycle bin ? (Since my speciality is primarily wireless, I dont have much experience here).

Thanks

Hi Thomas!

Unfortunately, this switch has most likely encountered an irreparable hardware failure. These logs indicate the switch is searching for the ASIC responsible for the uplink ports of the switch (the yellow-highlighted 40Gbps ports on the right hand side of the switch), but the ASIC does not appear to be online. Regrettably, there is no way to "bypass" this check, even if one does not need to use the uplink ports of the switch.

Apologies for being the bearer of bad news, but I hope you found this helpful! Thank you!

No worries, I just appreciate the answer.

Well the PSUs and fans can be used for "backups" on the functional one. The rest of it I will dispose of responsible . The students will most likely still appreciate working with just one. Thanks.
