Connect router or FW to FEX

Hello,

Is it recommended and considered as a valid design to connect a router or FWs to a FEX connected to 9K Nexus switch?

i do not see any issue here if parent switches not nearby - and the only option is FEX, yes sure you can connect. end of day FEX a just line card for parent switch.

(i have answered only connection part, make sure you have dual home fex or design consideration for the FW or router for high availability)
