Hi Support,
Been trying to get my head around on how to get it working but still no luck.
Firstly, let me say that i am new to Nexus Technology so i only based on Cisco Articles configurations. Any help would be highly appreciated.
Basically, my issue is that i cant bring up the interfaces in my FEX (N2K-C2232), the LED indicator are still on Solid Amber even though it shows that both of my FEXs are online.
From my show interface status i could see all the interfaces but when i tried to connect to one of the interfaces, the interface doesn't seem to go up.
Basically we only have a single Nexus C5548UP that has 2 FEXs with 2 uplinks each (Port Channels)
This Nexus C5548UP is then connected to the our Core Switch. Below is the configuration details for your reference:
interface port-channel101
switchport mode fex-fabric
fex associate 101
interface Ethernet1/29
switchport mode fex-fabric
fex associate 101
channel-group 101
interface Ethernet1/30
switchport mode fex-fabric
fex associate 101
channel-group 101
interface port-channel102
switchport mode fex-fabric
fex associate 102
interface Ethernet1/31
switchport mode fex-fabric
fex associate 102
channel-group 102
interface Ethernet1/32
switchport mode fex-fabric
fex associate 102
channel-group 102
Thank you in advance!

Are you using supported optics between the FEX and N5K?
Do you have link lights on the ports?

Hi Wes,
Thank you for your reply, really appreciate it!
I also thought due to the Optics that i used. My 5k and 2k are just in the same rack and using 10Gbase-SR on both 5k and FEXs. I couldnt be sure if the SFPs that i used are unsupported hence i am looking at executing this command "service unsupported transciever" just to see if that would elimate the issues concerning the SFPs that i used however the command is not available hence i am planning of upgrading from 7.0(1)N1(1) to n5000-uk9-kickstart.7.1.4.N1.1.bin if that would be any of help..
and just to add on, i could see that my uplinks from 5k to FEXs are up (hence i could see my FEXs are online in my 5k) its just the interfaces of FEXs that are showing solid amber eventhough i connect an end device to any interfaces. Did a shut and unshut but still no luck

Howdy,
What optics/speed are you using for the host facing ports on the FEX? If you have any 1000 (1GbE) ports don't forget that you will need to manually set `speed 1000` otherwise they will stay down.
Are you able to share the following outputs (Please obscure serials):
show int show fex show fex detail show int fex
Could you also please flap one of the FEX interfaces and please show me the output of:
show logging log | last 50
Regards,
Jason Leschnik.
