Maximum Port-Channel Interfaces - N5K C5596UP

Hi all,

Looking for some advice, am i interpreting correctly from this document;

That the maximum number of port-channel interfaces that can be created on a Nexus C5596UP, is 96. And that if i need to create more than this, it will not be possible?

Hi Luke,

While the 5596 has "only" 96 physical ports, that is just a mathematical limit. You cannot create more Port-channels than physical ports.

With the addition of Cisco Nexus 2000 Series Fabric Extenders, the platform can have many more than 96 interfaces.

Number of FEX Port Channels/vPCs (across the maximum number of FEXs)
