N3K-C36180YC-R ASIC to Port Mapping

Hi all.

We have a number of new Nexus N3K-C36180YC-R switches awaiting deployment and am currently trying to ascertain how the Jericho+ ASICs are mapped to the physical ports. Have reviewed the Cisco Live PDF from June 2018 ("Cisco Nexus 3000 Switch Architecture", can only find this link to it, the Cisco one doesn't work anymore: https://people.ucsc.edu/~warner/Bufs/BRKDCN-3734.pdf).

The document covers port to ASIC mapping for the N3K-3636C-R on page 81 which has 4 x Jericho+ ASICs but this is a 40/100gig switch. It does state that the N3K-C36180YC-R has 2 x Jericho+ ASICs so am thinking the 48 x 25Gbit/s ports may be mapped to one of them, and the 6 x 100gig to the other but would really like to be certain on this. Can anybody here point me to something that states this (have also looked at config guides etc but may have missed something!).

Thanks

Jon

You can use 'show interfaces hardware-mappings' and it will show which ASIC it is.

Under the 'unit' column it should have a 0 or 1 to designate the ASIC # and the 'hwport' is the jericho port #
