Nexus 93180YC-EX with FEX 2248TP

Hi All,

I'm looking to connect a couple of 2248TP Fabric Extenders to a Nexus 93180YC-EX parent switch at 40GbE using QSFP to 4 x SFP+ direct-attached cables (QSFP-4SFP10G-CU1M)

Can someone please confirm if this is supported, and if so, how the Nexus 9K needs to be configured to convert a 40GbE interface into 4 x 10Gb SFP+ interfaces?

Thank you

I have QSFP-4SFP10G-CU1M cables for this purpose, will they work ok?
Yes
Also do you know what config needs to be applied to the Nexus 9K switches to convert a QSPF interface into 4 x SFP+
You just need to breakout the interface and apply regular FEX config.

Please note that I have not tested the config.

Yes it is supported. You need to use a breakout cable or SFP
https://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/switches/datacenter/nexus9000/hw/interoperability/fexmatrix/fextables.html

Some options
QSFP-4X10G-AOC, Cisco QSFP-40G-CSR4

Command to split 40g QSFP into 4x10g:

interface breakout module <module #> port <port #> map 10g-4x
