Hi,
I have a pair of Nexus 93180YC-EXs in a vPC setup (Domain 100) in DC1 and another pair of Nexus 93180YC-EXs in a vPC setup (Domain 200) in DC2. Currently they are isolated from each other as we route towards our core to get between them. I want to direct connect them now. I will create a port-channel for the connection across the 2 Nexus 9ks pairs. Do I need to configure a vPC for the port-channel between the DCs or will this work as a standard port-channel. I found an example on Netcraftsmen.com using this exact topology (albeit using 7ks) and they say you have a vPC configured on each side, whereas an friend said that they have this exact topology without a vPC and it is working without issue.
Additionally from an STP perspective, would I configure this Port-Channel as a "port type normal" if I need to create a vPC and a port type "network" if I it's not in a vPC.
Cheers,
Tom
