Hi there experts,
we have to upgrade from 6.2(14) to NX 8.2(3)
and it's big leap between the version
there is a option to do it via ISSU or it has to be via cold boot
because this are dual sup devices so we want the less impact for the production environment
there is a document to follow or time to take to make this update?
or any recommendation prior to do this?
best regards

Hello,
You might want to check out the release notes for this:
The lowest release from where you can do an ISSU to 8.2.(3) is 7.3(2)D1(1) version. From here you would need to track backwards:
7.2(0)D1(1) --> 7.3(2)D1(1):
6.2(14) --> 7.2(0)D1(1):
As such your entire upgrade path (ISSU) would become:
6.2(14) --> 7.2(0)D1(1)7.2(0)D1(1) --> 7.3(2)D1(1) --> 8.2(3)
It is also advisable to review the release notes before making the decision to go through the multi-hop upgrade.
Thanks

thanks a lot for the guide to make the upgrade, very appreciated
can i ask a last question, when someone make ISSU
it shows that sup standby is upgraded and then comes the switch to the primary
but what happens to the line cards of the chassis?
this linecards are reboot it or some kind of firmware upgraded, or going to reboot the linecard?
and what happens to the orphan ports vpc, some devices that are not dual attached, this devices are going to be down for a while?
