Do we have to actually reload this HA datacenter device that manages all the WSAs to restart the HTTP service? If we have to do that we have to notify the whole company and get approvals/rejections because the login page is not loading. Say it ain`t so?

Users dont hit SMA...unless you're using it for email quarantine.
If it's only managing WSA younshould be able to boot it without affecting users.
If you need to restart a service, I suspect TAC could do it from the backend. Open a case...

Hey,
If your SMA is on a newer version (I suspect 12+, my lab box is on 12.5 so the output below is given from a 12.5 box) you should be able to try to restart the WebUI service via the CLI :
sma23.lab> diagnostic
Choose the operation you want to perform:
- RAID - Disk Verify Utility.
- DISK_USAGE - Check Disk Usage.
- NETWORK - Network Utilities.
- REPORTING - Reporting Utilities.
- TRACKING - Tracking Utilities.
- RELOAD - Reset configuration to the initial manufacturer values.
- SERVICES - Service Utilities.
[]> services
Choose one of the following services:
- REPORTING - Reporting associated services
- TRACKING - Tracking associated services
- EUQWEB - End User Quarantine GUI
- WEBUI - Web GUI
- SMART_LICENSE - Smart Licensing Agent
To try to bring it back, else if there's something else afoot, i would suggest opening a TAC ticket to request assistance to verify what's going on with the SMA in question.
Regards,
Mathew
