Hi all.
We have had about 37 Cisco IXM-LPWA-800-16-K9 operational for some 2 years now. They have been installed at different locations and powered by Cisco PoE switches. We are running LRR with Actility software. Intermittently, any LoraWAN GW may lose connection with Actility network server even though it’s up and running. A power cycle of PoE usually solves the issue.
However, we have experienced odd behavior between the switch and the LoraWAN GW. There has been 5-6 of these LoraWAN GW’s that PoE cycle does not fix the issue. After PoE power cycle, the link on the port does not come up again. The port does not deliver PoE either. We have tried different ports, restarted the switch (sometimes works), tried different link speeds and PoE settings to no avail. The only option we where left with where to replace the c2960x’es with a new c9300 series switch. This has always fixed the problem – so far.
Now we are experiencing the same on the new c9300 series switches. There is no way I can get this IXM restarted remotely as the switch port seems dead. After having some technician on-site and fiddling with it, ie trying different ports, disconnect and restart the switch, it may wake up again. We have even experienced having staff on-site doing all they can and leave the IXM connected with no link and no PoE power drawn when they leave the premises. A couple of days later when I check the status of the device, it might mysteriously have woken up and reconnected by itself.
This problem is so mind-blowing that it is hard to believe. Is there anybody out there that have been experiencing anything remotely similar?

Some diagnostic commands from the switch:

the Cable diagnostics output is concerning. its reporting a Short between pairs C & D.
seems a bit obvious to check the cable(s). try a different one?
