IR1101 Putty and usb console cable silicon labs masking input

I am trying to connect over USB console cable to an IR1101. I am using the silicon labs driver as suggested. I can get onto router, but all input is masked. I have tried changing baud rates, 9600 is the only one that is not garbled. I have had success with other IR1101's and this USB cable on 115200 and a few tweaks to putty, but not this first router in a new batch of routers.

Input looks like this:

Router#*****

Thanks for your time,

Jim

Accessing the CLI Using a Router Console

Cisco IR1101 routers have console port with only USB support. The console cable (Cisco P/N CAB-CONSOLE-USB, 6ft long) is not included and must be ordered.

The console port is a USB 2.0 mini USB Type B connector which is located on the front panel of the chassis. The default baud rate is 9600.

Putty try this option and let us know :
