We are having issue with 3905 SIP. When we connect it to 3550 switch, it is not getting up. Can somebody help me on this?

This is an POE switch? Other IP Phones have this issue?
What is part number?

Yes, it is a POE swith. We don't have issue with 7905, 7911 and 7940 IP phones.
Part Number is: 341-0029-03

3550's use pre-standard inline power. You may need a dongle so the phone is able to power up off that switch. I'm not sure about the 3905 phones, but I know this was an issue with the 7900's series phones.

Cisco phone 3905,7965,7970,69xx doesn't work with switch 3550 you need 3560 or 2960 switch or power supply
Don't try with 3550 it doesn't work you miss your time

Hello like Erick said (plus five) the 3905 uses 802.3af and the 3550 does not support this standard:
Q. Does the Cisco Catalyst 3550-24 PWR Switch support the 802.3af inline power standard?
