Exactly as the title says, I have a remote worker who is trying to utilize a 7841 at home over a WiMax connection. When I take the phone back to my home (DSL) connection I can sign in with her credentials without issue. Whenever she takes it to her home she cannot.
It will ask her for the domain, she enters that information and it does not error out, only on user credential sign in.
I would think that the phone simply isn't functional over a WiMax connection (she gets PING:13, DOWNLOAD:14mbps, UPLOAD:4mbps) however the fact that it resolves the domain makes me question this.
Am I correct to question this, or do these phones simply not work over WiMax?
Currently I have the user set up to control an onsite phone with Jabber so she can still sign into her CSQ to take calls.
I would assume if the WiMax connection was too weak this solution would also not function. Prior to the 7841 she used an IP communicator softphone, also without connection issues.
