I am quite new to Cisco in my new position and have run into a perplexing problem. I have a 7962 with a 24 button 7915 expansion module. The user complained the 7915 suddenly went blank. Simple rebooting did not resolve, took module off and installed on another phone that had the same module configuration and it came up fine, took known good module off that phone and put it on the phone in question and it powers up with Cisco logo then goes blank and does not load phone info. Suspected bad 7962 phone so I did a super copy from the users phone and applied to another phone and it still does not come up. Did a factory reset and super copy from another users phone with same config and it still doesn't load. Tried a known good power adapter to the 7915, Cisco logo loads but still goes blank. No configuration changed overnight prior to the user finding the expansion module down. I have moved the phone to my desk for testing so I don't believe it is a physical issue and no other users are having this problem. Not sure what to try next...

UPDATE
I tried adding the module to a 3rd phone, set the button template to include all the extensions for the module and enabled the expansion module to 7915 24 Button and it came up on that users phone. I then deleted the now working phone and did a super copy from the user that was originally having the problem which is the same thing I tried with the unused phone from another desk but this time it worked. Why it suddenly quit working, doesn't work when trying it on the second phone but works with this 3rd phone?... I'm stumped.
