Hiya,
hoping someone can shed some light on this.. i have recently aquired a cisco 7940 and im going through the process of converting it to SIP for use on Asterisk
Basically ive downloaded the firmware P0S3-8-12-00 and placed it on a tftp server on my network (then updated the DHCP Scope to include tftp)
Phone Boots.. pulls down the sbn file then stops with the error "File Auth Fail: P0S3-8-12-00.sbn" the phone then reboots and repeats
i did rename the above file from P0003-8-12-00 as the file could not be found
i know im missing something and its probibly quite simple
Curent Versions:
app - P00305000600
boot - PC0303010001
Vers 5.0(6.0)
CP-7940G

Hi Adam,
Can you try an intervening load like 8.0(9) as a first
step. I'm not sure you can go right from the current version to 8.0(12)
Cheers!

Okay,
moved further forward but now i think ive broken it..
i installed P003-08-9-00 and the phone then reset but its booted into "universal application loader"
phone boots.. attemps to pull a 2 files CTLSEP[Mac].tlv and SEP[MAC].cnf.xml then dies with "File Auth Error"
