Draw out the network.

I don't think the phone has CPU power to do encryption.  If the phone is in the same LAN network as Elastix then there is no need for encryption.

If the phone goes through a WAN link then the router or firewall can do the encryption.

Dear Leo ,

Thanks for your response. Actually , the customer wants to have secure mode enabled , this is their need on LAN as well. I have seen option on phone in security configuration ---> security mode which is currently "non secure" , how to change it to secure ?

Draw the network.

Here is approximate network layout . Users wants to have secure mode enabled from extension to extension.

Ok, what's the budget for this?

Layer 2 &/or Layer 3 encryptions ain't cheap.

Ok , but how to enable secure mode in 7940G ?

That will depend on the budget.

Google "lan encryption" and find out their price.  Endpoint-to-Endpoint encryption is expensive.  If this thread is genuine (and not a school work) then every encryption appliance vendor will be knocking at your door due to the cost (and commission).
