7945's and 9.1/9.3 Firmware Cycle

I have a bunch of new 7945's that came loaded with teh 9.3.... firmware version.  My Call Manager is 8.5 and had 9.1 firmware for 7945's.  I downloaded and uploaded the 9.3 to my call manager, but hte phones all still try and "upgrade" to 9.1 when tehy boot...  The 9.1 upgrade fails and the phone reboots on it's internal 9.3 image.  How do I get my call Manager to be pushing out the 9.3 version I have installed on it so that 9.1 isn't even tried anymore??

Thanks!

Hi Jeff,

Did the firmware version that is listed change on the Device Defaults

page? Did you stop/start the TFTP service?

Cheers!

This is because these phones are now manufactured with newer hardware version which require firmware 9.3.1sr1 or newer:

Phones manufactured with these hardware versions must run Firmware Release 9.3(1)SR1 or later. The phone

firmware does not allow the phone to be downgraded to releases earlier than Release 9.3(1)SR1.

You will either need to get that or newer version, or simply hard code the load version on these phones to the 9.3.1sr1 load name.

Did you install this version on all TFTP servers, did you restart the TFTP service, is the newer version showing as the default load under device defaults page?

HTH,

Chris
