Hi,
I recently upgraded a customer from CUCM 7.1 to 10.5 and replaced the 7960 handsets used by their UCCX agents with 7841 handsets. The handset upgrade was driven by the need for a Built-in-Bridge for MediaSense recording.
They have now come back to me and asked whether the 7841 IP phones can send audio to both a headset and the handset speaker at the same time. I do not think that this is possible but they claim that their 7960 phones used to do it.
The headsets they use are wired Plantronics models which use the headset controls built into the handset rather any external switching.
I do not have a 7960 and headset to hand and so cannot test.
Is there some option or feature that I have missed?

Hi James,
Hope all is well my friend!
This functionality on the 7960's was caused by a bug rather than a requested feature;
Problem Desription:
Audio is still heard through an off-hook Handset even when Headset is selected
and in use.
Symptom:
Audio heard through Handset when it should not be.
Workaround:
None.
Cheers!
Rob

Hi Rob,
I am very well thanks - hope you are too.
Thanks for the answer. For some reason they seem reluctant to use the live monitoring in Mediasense so I am going to suggest that they get one of the headset splitter you mentioned in the post below

Thanks
