Hello everybody,
I’m facing an issue that i can’t resolve and understand exactly where is the problem.
It happens only with Cisco IP Phone 7962.
The issue is that during some registration phase, the phone freez (up to 20 minutes).
1. When i analyze IP Phone logs (IHM/ Device Logs) I have:
On DebugDisplay:
Invalid SCCP message! : Invalid length = 0 - close connection and alarm in future
On logxxx: (see attached file)
2. When i analyze SCCP paquets (between the Phone and the CME) I have found that on XMLAlarmMessage message (sent before register message), I can check the last sccp message received before the Freez and It indicate “SoftKeySetResMessage”
But for me, this is sent normally (with TCP fragmentation) and I can’t found any problem on this message.
Can you help me to fix out this issue ? Do you have any idea or other logs to check? …
Thank you very much for your help.

Hi,
What are the CME and IP phone firmware versions? Did the issue start recently? Can you try upgrading the firmware in the 7962's and see if that helps.

the firmwares tested are:
IPPhone: SCCP42.9-3-1SR3-1S
CME(2951): - SPA.154-2.T1
- SPA.156-2.T
Now, i'm trying to put the new versions :
IPPhone: SCCP42.9-4-2SR2-2S
CME(2951): SPA.156-2.T1
i will give you a feedback when i will finish the test

Hello,
It works good with the new IP Phone firmware (SCCP42.9-4-2SR2-2S).
It seems to be a bug on (SCCP42.9-3-1SR3-1S)

Thanks for updating the post, yes it looks to be a bug on the old firmware.
