Hi guy,
Want to check either anyone experience the same problem my user have.
My user was using the 7962 model IP phone to running some long period conference call. Their feedback to me, when ever their put the phone without any activity (the call still ongoing) and leave for some checking. The call will be drop right after the phone go into the standby/sleep mode (the display screen going to black/blank). Their have to keep press and play some button to keep the phone alive while the conference going on. Is there any suggestion or parameter i can tune in CUCM to overcome this issue? For your information, not all the user who use this phone model complain about this problem. My CUCM version and my phone firmware version as below:
System version: 7.1.3.30000-1
Phone version: SCCP42.8-5-2SR1S

Hi Kwan,
Are you sure about this being a 7962? I don't believe they
have the "Standby/Sleep" mode. If it was a 7965 you could look at the
Display Idle Timeout on the phone config page
Cheers!

Hello Kwan,
Also you mentioned not all the user who use this phone model complain about this problem, as the issue is reproducible, can you pull up a call manager trace with a sniffer from the back of the phone, to see whats happening.
Post the logs, with the MAC address of the phone, we will need to see what messages are triggered, which cause the failure.
Regards
Kunal

Hi Kunal,
Just have a test with user. It will be more correct if i said the connection will be cut off when ever there were no output been detected. The call just able last for 2-3 minutes. Even you are on the way of speaking, but when from the other side, there were no voice/sound, the call will drop.
