I have been given on of these older phones. I have successfully loaded the SIP firmware. It is picking up its SEP<MAC ADD>.cnf.xml file. Some questions
Can I use this as a standalone, i.e. without the need to fetch the config from the TFTP server each boot.
How can I use this with residential sip providers (I have several accounts and successful configured spa508Gs to use the various providers.
Not all of the options can be set manually on the phone even when entering **# and the password in the .cnf.xml file. Is there a way to enable all the settings so I can program it via the phone.
Do I need to run FreePBX or astrix to make this work as a phone?
