Hi, I have a problem with a 7975 phone which does not end the call when the receiver is put down.
the obvious place to look is the button which the receiver presses when it is placed down.
when i press this with my finger, i expected nothing to happen indicating that is where the fault lied. but when i press it, the line would go silent as if i hanged up, but on the screen, i could see the call was still in progress.
anyone give me an idea of what to check?
or is it going to require hardware replacement.

We're using Cisco Call Manager version 8.

Try resetting the device or in extreme case, a complete CUCM restart.
