8800 Series Phones > 12.7 Firmware Call Blocking Feature

Thanks ahead of time to whomever replies.

We are on CUCM 10.5 and soon will upgrade to 12.5.

Recently, our 8800 series phone have been upgrade to 12.7 firmware.

I see 12.7 has a cool feature making it super easy to block "Potential Fraud" calls.

Anyone know of a simple way to block potential fraud calls across an entire cluster?

Right now, our method of call blocking is a tedious process of tracing calls back to the source, building number translation rules on service routers etc. Sort of a pain. Would be nice if Cisco could boil that down to an easy input form on call manager.

No, the way you're doing it is the way it's available. Either translation-rules to block at the GW or translation patterns in CUCM, nothing as easy as just a list where you input numbers and that's it.

Maybe if you build a custom TCL or use external call control in CUCM it could be a list as you wish, but that would be a custom solution you'd need to develop.

The phone feature is on the phone itself, not on CUCM or the GW.

You can always submit a PER via your SE/AM for this to be considered.
