I am working on a Call Manager 11.0 cluster where they have working 7925 phones in their Aruba wireless. They recently purchased a single 8821 phone and we have been experiencing multiple issues. The first issue is that the phone will lose it's registration and when it does the phone will reboot. Additionally we have seen several times where the phone will go to a black screen with the message Device has Crashed in red letters. We have upgraded the phone to the latest 11.0(3) firmware, but the issue is still persistent on the phone.
Has anyone ever run into this type of behavior?
Thanks,
Michael

You could be running into this bug:

there are quite a few bugs for the 8821 phones:

Hi
We face the same issue using the latest 8821 firmware loads as well as several ES. The 8821 is unregistering sporadically (ARUBA WLAN as well). Could you solve this? Any Workaround?

Hi
very bad product this 8821 IP Phone
Not very stable : a lot of disconnection with the AP (in 2.4 or 5 GHz mode)
Other problem we have :
Message with MIC not installed and one with message device have crashed
Wonderfull with Cisco quality !
Too Expensive
Too plastic !
