8851NR hardware version V15 vs V08

Hello there. Anybody knows what the difference in terms of hardware between V08 and V15 is? Does V15 has more memory on-board or maybe new faster processor?

AFAIK it not about the hardware. its about Compatability

Thank you for your response. Does that mean that the same hardware can be configured as either V08 or V15 at the factory? Can V15 be reconfigured to V08?

It is not configurable, it is based on hardware specifications. Anything manufactured according to the hw spec for V15 would always be at this hardware version and the same for V8.

The only thing you need to make sure is you use it with the recommended firmware versions mentioned in the guide.

There could be some changes in the hardware, but that not a concern for the users..

I was more interested to find out whether new hardware versions require FCC requalification, specifically if every new hardware configuration significantly change EMI signature of the previous one.

If that’s what you wanted to know all along then why not ask that in your original post?

AFAIK the changes made are not as big to merit new regulatory qualifications.
