8941 not registering in call manager 7.1.5.33900-10

                   I have an IP phone 8941 and the phone does not register under the clients or team or wan device pool in CUCM 7.1.5. I am able to register and configure the phone under the device pool Change_me_now and make phone call. the specification of the device pool is as follow. Does anyone had a similar issue?

Device pool name* Change_me_now

CUCManager group IRT-GRP1

CSS for autoregistration: CSS5

Reverted call Focus priority: Default

Local Route Group : <none>

Team Pool

Device Pool Name IRT-Team

CUC Manager Group IRT-GRP2

What are the CUCM servers listed in each of the CUCM Groups?

Are all the servers online and have CUCM service running?

I have a Pub CUCM1 and a Sub CUCM2 and they all have CUCM service running.

So, after the phone registers with the Change_me_now DP and if you change the DP to somethign else it no longer registers?

What does the phone say in the status log?

Hello Chris,

The phone is still sitting trying to obtain an ip address from the DHCP server.

This makes no sense. Are you chanign anything on the physical phone itself or just configuration on CUCM?

When you look at the network settings on the phone do you see DHCP server, IP address, etc?

Hello Chris,

I agree, it does not make sense, the phone is showing an ip address, a default router, dns server as well. I enable alternate TFTP so I can use the CUCM of that location and the phone is showing a TFTP server 1 and TFTP server 2 ip addresses.

OK, so it is getting IP address.

Is TFTP service running on the other CUCM? can you try using the same TFTP?

Yes I can.

I do have several call manager installed, in Atlanta, Chicago and California. When I register the phone in Atlanta and Chicago the phone is working fine and I can make phone calls. However When I am connecting the phone to California the phone is only registering when using the device pool change_me_now. If I change the device pool to team or client, the phone is not registering.

I just changed my device pool now to change_me_now and the phone registered with a telephone number and I can make phone calls. If I have to assign this phone to a client using device pool IRT_client, the phone just stay does not complete the registration process.
