Hi,
I had a 9951 on a callmanager 9.1.2 and I always could get in the administration settings menu of the phone.
The same phone is now registered on a CME 10 and suddenly there is this password to access the administrating settings menu.
In the CME I don't use any password in the SIP configuration (uses MAC for security)
I tried 'cisco' but it doesn't work.
Is there a default password, and how can I disable this password.
Using SCCP phones you can use the "service phone" command
Is there something similar for Cisco SIP phones?
Thanks,
JH

Hello ,
Add a username and password for the phone from the cme . For example...
voice register pool 1
username 1000 password 1000
And then check it....

Hello Karthik,
Thank you for your quick reply.
Yes this is working, thanks.
Can I have the settings menu without password?
It is not really a big problem, just would like to know.
It seems that in CME (10) the default is that the administration menu is password protected, when I reregister the phone on callmanager 9, I can access the menu without password.
Thanks,
Jan
