A silence of few seconds during calls

Lately some users have reported a continuous issue with conference calls:

“During conference calls (using cisco IP phones 8831) there is a silence of few seconds every 2 to 4 minutes".

We have QoS in place and users attending the same meetings from their desk phones (7942) are not experiencing the issue.

Any troubleshooting tips are greatly appreciated.

Hi ,

What firmware version are you running on those phones?

Also you can open phone webpage and see the Tx and Rx packets or if there is any drop or do sh call active voice brief on GW to see any lost packets.

I would also disable VAD if enabled on dial-peer.
