Active Load Id : Unknown

            What is the reason for a phone configuration page in CUCM to show that Active Load Id is unknown although the phone is registered?

I need to understand why a phone sometime show a valid active load like SCCP429-2-1S on a 7942 phone and on some other it doesnot.

Here is the answer to this question..Its found in the thread below...

In some cases, the Active Load ID field displays "Unknown." For example, Cisco Unified Communications Manager Administration might display "Unknown" in the Active Load ID field for any of the following circumstances:

•For SCCP phones, when the phone is a Cisco Unified IP Phone 7940 (SCCP), 7960 (SCCP), or 7985 (SCCP), because these phone models do not support the necessary version of SCCP.

It depends on what SCCP version the phones are using whether or not they'll send the register alarm message to call manager indicating what firmware load they're running which is populated in that field.  If you have downgraded the firmware lately you'll likely see unknown, or if you compare a phone that shows the active load ID and one that shows unknown, they may be running different firmware versions one of which reports the load ID to call manager and one that does not

7942 is not registering, appload unknown , status message say VPN not confgured,SEP...........cnf.xml.sgn....

You may need to open another thread..Your innitial question was about active load showing unknown. Now you are talking about Phone not registering. I suggest you open a new thread and describe your problem properly
