I need to upload and install new UC license for extra users, In the back of my mind I seem to think that when you go to the license page after uploading the new ones  you need to install ALL the licenses including the existing one? - is this correct or is it just the new licenses ?

thanks

Hi IPT,

You should only need to Add then Install the "new" License file in this case

Cisco Unity Connection Can Use Multiple Installed License Files

Multiple license files can be installed on a Cisco Unity Connection server. Each installed license file may

enable one or more features. All of the installed license files combined enable the features that the customer wants.

Before a license file can be installed, it must be added to the Licenses page in Cisco Unity Connection Administration.

The steps are nicely shown in this doc;

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/connection/7x/administration/guide/7xcucsag310.html

Cheers!

Rob

Hi Rob,

Thanks for the reply

My concern was base dupon a statement in "Configuring CCM and Unity ...." book - Make sure you select all license files; this includes
any that may have been previously loaded on the system.

License File Install Wizard
Each Unity system must have a license file properly installed. This license file determines how many
subscribers and for what features the system is licensed. The license is loaded during the installation
of the system. This utility can be used when adding new licenses. When you run this utility, you are
given the opportunity to select a license file(s). Make sure you select all license files; this includes
any that may have been previously loaded on the system
.

Hi IPT,

That method is for Unity not Unity Connection

Just use the steps in the doc I sent (Add new) from Licensing Page in Unity Connection Administration.

Cheers!
