ASA Phone-Proxy stops working after 9.x Phone load applied

Michael Huffman

I'm having an issue with my Cisco 7945 (and 7975) phones that connect to our CUCM-BE through our ASA Phone-Proxy setup.

This has been working perfectly until we upgraded our CUCM-BE and the phones upgraded their phone load.
If I downgrade the phone load on the phones to the original load they start working again.

ASA is running version 8.2(5)

The working phone load is SCCP45.8-5-4S
The non-working load is SCCP45.9-2-1S

Call Manager is now running version 8.6.2.20000-2

Debug phone-proxy tftp

PP: Received ACK for Block 497 from remote phone outside:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/50872 to ASA at inside:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
PP: TFTP session complete, all data sent

The TFTP process completes

The phones hang up at registering and never complete registration to CM

Hi Michael,

Maybe a long lost relative

You may want to check the notes from Joe in this thread;

https://supportforums.cisco.com/message/3372843#3372843

Cheers!

Rob

Hi Rob,

You just nver know, we might be related... but you're a Flames fan and I'm from the Leafs "center of the hockey universe" fan club

So based on what I'm reading here, could it be that Cisco is pushing us toward the SSL VPN solution? I guess we can survive for now on the older code. It seems to work ok.

Thanks for the URL.

Hey Mike,

Quite a pair we are here cheering for the Lames and the Laughs

Maybe we'll surprise everyone and make the playoffs, win 3 rounds each and

meet in the Stanley Cup Finals ...........or NOT.

Best of luck!

Cheers!

Rob

That would be a miracle on ice if that ever happened (more the Laughs making it to the cup then anything).

Thx Rob !
