ATA 186 & UTP cable distance

Hi,

ATA 186 is connected to a CIsco switch & hangs frequently. The distance between ATA & CIsco Switch is more than 70 m.

Is there any specification for supported distance between Cisco switch & ATA 186 ?

Maximum length for ethernet cable is 100 meters (328 feet). Doesn't sound like you're over the max. Have you tried upgrading the firmware? Using another ATA at the same location?

I even tried placing IP phone & another ATA 186 at that location but faced same problem. What can be the issue ?

Have you tested the cable run? Tested/changed patch cables on each end?
