ATA issue

Dear all,

I am having a call manager 8.5 and a gateway 
I configured an ATA 186 in cucm and gave an extension to it, now from fax device, I connected this ATA 

Fax machine is sending the faxes but we are facing an issue in incoming

what configurations should be made in ATA and also in gateway to receive fax

Can anyone guide?

How are you integrating PSTN with CUCM (protocols and analog port type)?

Also, share your gateway config.

in terms of dial plan, there is no difference between any regular phone and a fax, so if you can call a phone from external, the fax should be 'callable' as well. If you are not sure, hook up an analogue phone to the ATA and ring into it.

I am able to send fax to any number without any issue

but the problem is for receiving the fax 
no need of configuration in ATA? or if, then what should I keep 
when I look into the document it say some configuration is needed in ATA
Audio mode, connect mode ...
