ATA, Paging and disconnecting

we have a ATA187 that has one port connected to a Viking FXI-1 paging interface. when a person calls the extension the paging works but we get a fast busy after the user hangs up the phone. this fast busy persists until the timeout occurs on the Viking interface. I talked to Viking support and they are saying this is happening because the interface is not receiving the proper disconnect, or as Viking has said the proper calling part control disconnect. Vicking support said they see this with cisco ATA's and there is a setting that can correct that. they however did not know what that setting is. So does anyone know what that could be?

We have a BE6K running 10.5 and this ATA is at a remote SRST location.
