Hi ,
Is there some way to Auto-Deactivate / Auto-Disable an extension after a user does not login into it after say a set period of time ?
To explain the scenario - we have around 4000 employees over three branches .
Now to promote extension reuse , we want to disable the extensions assigned to specific users after they leave the organisation .
Is there some kind of provision to do it ?
Thanks ,
Rahul Nair.

Your best shot here would be to use Extension mobility for the users which provides below three functionalities.
1. Multiple Logins Allowed (the same user ID can be logged in to extension mobility on more than one device)
2. Multiple Logins Not Allowed (a user ID can only be logged into one device)
3. Auto Logout (if a user ID is logged into extension mobility on one device, and the same user ID attempts to login to extension mobility on a different device, the first device automatically logs out).
Basis on the requirement, you can change the Login Behavior from CM Administration >> Service Parameter >> Cisco Extension Mobility Service to use one of mentioned above.

Hi Deepak ,
Thanks Deepak.
We have extension mobility enabled . But the problem is we don't know when the extension was last logged into . I mean whether a user has left the organisation , or is the user on a tour outside the country - is something that we are unable to determine as there seems to be no way of historic login reports on the extension .
Is there any provision for pulling out "Last logged in": info for a mobility extension ?

I believe it is answered here

There is one Report in CUCM Unified Reporting , which will show the Last Login Time.
Below is the snapshot.
1) You can configure the EM AutoLogout Duration to say some 7 Days.
2) Extract this report daily and Monitor the same to find out users not logging In and Trace their phones.
For Exact Time Stamp for User Login can be captured via RTMT
Go To RTMT Trace Log Central and Choose EM Application Logs
Download for the duration you want say past One Month.
Then based on the UserId Or MAC of Phone YOu can find the Logout Evnets
For Example below snap shows the Login Logout Event for My test Device.
Please rate and mark correct if applicable.
Thanks

There's no way to do what you're asking
http://docwiki.cisco.com/wiki/CUCM_FAQ#How_can_I_find_the_last_time_an_EM_user_was_logged_in.3F.3F
You can get that info, but CUCM has no way to do anything with it, if you want to "deactivate/disable" a DN, you'll have to do so manually.
CUCM really doesn't care if a phone or DN has not been used for, whatever period of time you want, and then act accordingly.
Same if you care about non EM DNs, you could only use CDR/CAR reports to find out who is making calls, then weed out who does not show up, and act accordingly.
