Hello,
We have a customer who currently have an Avaya IP telephony platform with G430 Media Gateway and S8300 Call Processor Server along with Avaya IP Phones 9611G.
We have proposed Cisco BE7000 with CUCM ver 11.x with BASIC Licensing.
1.) Can the Avaya telephony platform integrate with the Cisco UCM, allowing them to continue to use the existing Avaya licensing and handsets.
2.) Do they also have the option of integrating the Avaya handsets with Cisco UCM, and decommission rest of the Avaya infrastructure.
3.) Will there be any additional licensing or infrastructure required on the Cisco solution to integrate with the Avaya handsets or the telephony solution.
Cheers,
AJ

Just had a quick look online for
1) see the link how to have a SIP trunk betwen Avaya and Cisco CUCM
http://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/solutions/collateral/enterprise/interoperability-portal/cisco_10_0_avaya_6_1_app_note.pdf
2) most probably will have to test, although the 9611G are SIP (or H323) they might only work with Avaya systems. Somebody else may have experience of this.
3) reference licensing will depend how many handsets you have. Most probably have to talk to your Cisco rep.
regards
Richard.
