By pressing the Directory button, the (local directory) is not display

Good day,

I have a CCME router with some 7945G IP phone, I want access to the (local directory), when I press the Directory button, the IP phone displays (Missed Calls, Received Calls, Placed Calls) it does not display the ( local directory), how can I access to this directory so that I can search for names or extensions.

Yes I checked it, this document says that if I press the (Directory Button) the (local directory) will appear, while this is not my case, my case is if I press the (Directory Button) it displays : (Missed Calls, Received Calls, Placed Calls).

I noticed that by pressing the Directory button at the bottom of the displays (Missed Calls, Received Calls, Placed Calls) there is a message saying (Host Not Fiund) this message takes 10 seconds then it will disappear, I don't know if it can help us find the problem.

You’ll need to have the web server running on the gateway and configured correctly for CME. That should be part of the documentation shared earlier in another chapter.

Enters telephony-service configuration mode.

service local-directory

Router(config-telephony)# service local-directory

enables local directory service on IP phones.

Directory entries 

directory entry {directory-tag number name name | clear} !!!... Manually add directory entries

You have turned off the web server service on your gateway by these commands.

no ip http server
no ip http secure-server

You’ll need to at least have one of these, most likely the one for http, set without the “no”.

After enabling the http server:

Router_Data_Voice(config)#ip http server

Router_Data_Voice(config)#do write

The problem is solved, the (local directory) is displayed.
